Camden Council has appointed Higgins Partnerships to deliver the first phase of the £500m regeneration of the West Kentish Town Estate.

The Enquirer understands Higgins’ contract is worth around £27m to deliver 52 new affordable homes across two six-storey blocks.

Declan Higgins, Chief Executive Officer for Higgins Group, said: “Alongside providing high-quality, affordable homes, we will work closely with the local community to create training, employment and social value opportunities that provide lasting benefits for residents and support the long-term success of the area.”

The regeneration of the occupied 1960s estate has been shaped by more than 10 years of engagement with residents and neighbours.

Designed by Mae Architects, phase one will help create early momentum for the wider masterplan, prepared by Alford Hall Monaghan Morris, which sets out a long-term vision for new homes, improved open space, better connectivity, and enhanced public realm across the estate.
